Sergey Tkachenko, tenor, was born in Moscow, Russia.
He started singing in at an early age in the "Great TV and radio childeren's choir" in Moscow, then in the church choir. After having studied choir conducting in Academic Music College in Moscow (honor degrees) and singing in the Moscow Gnessin Academy, he comрleted is musical education in France, at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, graduated with the 1st prize in singing.
A winner of the UFAM International Competition, France, he went on to perform at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Düsseldorf, at the Rheinsberg Opera Festival, and at the State Musical Theater of Muenster, Germany. Other performance credits include productions at the Operette Theater of Lyon, and in Russia, at the State Operas of the Komi Republic, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Karelia, and others. Sergey has toured in concert as a soloist with the Sretensky Monastery Choir of Moscow, in the USA, Greece, France, and Germany, among other countries.
His performed roles are Rodolfo in Puccini's "La Bohème", Almaviva in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia ", Ernesto in "Don Pasquale" and Arturo in "Lucia di Lammermoor" by Donizetti, Fenton in Verdi's "Falstaff", and Tamino in "'Die Zauberflöte" and Ferrando in "Così fan Tutte" by Mozart, Paris in "La belle Helene" and others. Sergey's vocal area is music of belcanto.
He has now been living in New Jersey near New York City and performing as a opera and concert singer.
